Asset Management & Reserves Evaluation

Comprehensive consulting for the management of oil and gas assets at every stage of the field life cycle — with independent reserves audits that meet international and Kazakhstan standards.

Independent reserves audit and evaluation

Reserves are evaluated and audited in accordance with SPE-PRMS and KAZ-PRMS. We categorise reserves as 1P, 2P and 3P and apply both deterministic and probabilistic approaches, so the result is accurate, transparent and defensible.

Evaluation methods

Volumetric analysis, decline curve analysis (DCA), material balance and productivity modelling — chosen and cross-checked according to the maturity of the field and the data available.

Reserves management systems

We design the system an operator uses to keep reserves current: data flows, responsibilities, review cycles and the reconciliation between technical and reported volumes.

Field development plans

Development stage diagnosis, options for licence extension, production increase or capacity expansion, and a recommended plan with its technical and economic case.

Business-planning support

Reserves and production forecasts translated into the operator's budget, investment programme and reporting to shareholders and the state.

Deliverables

  • Reserves report with 1P / 2P / 3P tables and methodology
  • Production forecast by well, reservoir and field
  • Field development plan options with technical and economic comparison
  • Reserves management procedure and templates
  • Presentation and defence in front of auditors, lenders or the regulator

FAQ

What is the difference between SPE-PRMS and KAZ-PRMS?

SPE-PRMS is the international Petroleum Resources Management System used by investors, lenders and auditors; KAZ-PRMS is the Kazakhstan classification used for state reporting. We prepare evaluations under either and reconcile the two.

Can you audit reserves prepared by another contractor?

Yes. Independent audit of third-party evaluations — including analysis of where auditor assumptions diverge and why — is a regular part of our work.

How long does a reserves evaluation take?

From two to eight weeks depending on the number of reservoirs, data quality and whether a dynamic model is required.
